Mission

Modern Teacher exists to document, analyze, and challenge the forces shaping today’s schools—from edtech surveillance to venture philanthropy—while uplifting the human-centered practices that sustain authentic learning.
Through critical commentary, classroom-based inquiry, teacher storytelling, and research-informed analysis, our mission is to:

  • Defend and strengthen public education
